We offer opportunities to fit volunteers’ busy schedules
TUTORING
Our mission is to support and encourage the academic growth of kdis andyouth in Benton Harbor with the help of volunteers and community partners. As a one-on-one tutoring/mentoring program we hope the kids and youth will benefit from having additional help in their lives to look up to and talk to.
ENGLISH COURSE
100% free online English course. Classes take place on the Zoom Meeting platform once a week. The volunteer receives all the training and support to become a teacher. The course is recognized by the College in Brazil.
SANTA'S PROJECT
The project provides an opportunity to bring Christmas Eve care to children and families in the Benton Harbor area through toys and clothing for children and their families. An opportunity to bring dreams to so many children around us.
ARTS & PHILOSOPHY CLUB
The Arts & Philosophy Club aims to socialize and develop the arts, the study of philosophy, and the practice of meditation to encourage children and young people to open up, dream, and see opportunities.
SOCCER TEAM
Benton Harbor Kid's Soccer School. The objective is to educate and bring important moral values through practice of a sport, at the same time to entertain the kids.
PRAYER & MEDITATION GROUP
We come together to pray for families, for the good of planet Earth, and for all of humanity. This project is not about religion or beliefs, but about the power of prayer that flows from our hearts.
THRIFT SHOP & ART STUDIO
A place where people can express kindness and compassion by donating clothes, shoes, furniture, and utensils to those in need. Volunteers can help by organizing, producing, or restoring. A place to welcome and to help those who are experiencing hardship. Turn unusable donations into art, using art as an important awareness tool for environmental activism and conscious and responsible purchasing.
SENIOR CLUB
This project intends to offer weekly programs that include meditation, exercise classes, circuit training, arts and crafts classes and book Club. We plan to offer seniors the opportunity to volunteer in our THRIFT SHOP, such as selecting clothing and other activities.
VEGAN SOUP KITCHEN
his project means cooking vegan soup to be delivered free of charge to needy families in their homes, along with an inspirational message.
FOOD DRIVE
The Food Drive is a job of visiting homes, knocking from door to door to collect food, personal items or hygiene and cleaning products for needy families in Benton Harbor.
FOOD BANK
The food bank distributes the food we collect through FOOD DRIVE. We distribute the food to the families who are going through hard times. We deliver the food directly to their homes.
